The Roelofarendsveen pram is a type of flat-bottomed boat that was specifically used in the region around Roelofarendsveen, a town in the province of South Holland. These vessels were essential for transporting goods in the peat polders, especially before the land consolidation in 1960.

Until the land consolidation in 1960, the Veender- and Lijkerpolder buiten de bedijking (polders outside the dyke) were only accessible by water. Market gardeners used prams there for transporting their produce and materials. The prams were essential for daily life and the economy in this region.
In 2017, the "De Veense Praam" project was launched, involving the restoration of an original Roelofarendsveen pram. The aim was to preserve this unique floating heritage and use it for public and educational purposes. The restoration was carried out with the help of boat builders and included, among other things, replacing weakened wooden parts. Additionally, a simple boathouse was built for storage and maintenance.
The restored Roelofarendsveen pram is now used for boat excursions, telling the history of Roelofarendsveen's origins. In addition, the pram is used for educational projects with schools and other institutions. There are plans to equip the pram with an electric motor, which will enable silent cruising and contribute to a sustainable experience of the polder landscape.
