The Hr.Ms. Argus (A847) was a diving launch of the Royal Netherlands Navy, built in 1938. Originally intended as a training vessel for divers, she played an important role in Dutch maritime history.

1939–1940: Commissioned as a training vessel for divers.
14 May 1940: Captured by German troops during the Battle of the Netherlands.
1944: Recovered and transferred to Rijkswaterstaat.
1946: Returned to service with the Royal Netherlands Navy as MOD 4.
1988: Taken out of service.
26 September 1989: Sold for scrap to K. Göbel, Amsterdam.
Hr.Ms. Argus (A847) is no longer in active service. She was replaced by more modern diving vessels, such as the Cerberus class, which are equipped with more advanced technologies and capabilities for underwater operations. These new vessels support the Defence Diving Group in their work, including mine countermeasures, wreck recovery operations and the maintenance of naval vessels
