The Balder-class patrol vessels (P802–P806) were five small patrol boats built in the Netherlands in the early 1950s. They were funded by the United States under the Mutual Defense Assistance Program (MDAP) and were intended for coastal surveillance and fisheries control.

The ships were built at the Willemsoord Royal Shipyard in Den Helder and were intended for coastal surveillance and fisheries control. After being taken out of service, most of the vessels were scrapped, but the Bulgia and Freyr were retained and converted into training ships for the Sea Cadet Corps. They served as training vessels for young recruits and remained in service until the 1990s.
