The Hr.Ms. De Ruyter (C801) and De Zeven Provinciën (C802) were light cruisers of the Royal Netherlands Navy, built in the late 1930s and early 1950s. Both ships were originally part of the De Zeven Provinciën class, but underwent significant modifications during their service.

After the Second World War, De Ruyter was converted into a modern light cruiser. Between 1962 and 1964, she underwent extensive refitting, which included replacing the aft gun with a RIM-2 Terrier anti-aircraft system, and adding a hangar and helicopter deck for a Sea King helicopter.

The Zeven Provinciën underwent similar modifications to De Ruyter, with the addition of the RIM-2 Terrier anti-aircraft system and a helicopter deck. After her service in the Royal Netherlands Navy, she was sold to Peru, where she served as BAP Almirante Aguirre until 1999.
